With Holmes, you can search your browser bookmarks from the omni bar (or the address bar) in Google Chrome. It also adds a button to your Chrome’s toolbar for quick access.

Highlight the address bar in Chrome (you can press Ctrl + K), then type * (asterisk) and press tab to activate Holmes. You can now type to search through your bookmarks.

Holmes can also be activated with a keyboard shortcut. The default is Alt+Shift+H but you can easily change the shortcut. Go to Chrome Menu > Tools > Extensions. Scroll down to bottom, press “Keyboard shortcuts” link and add custom shortcut to Holmes.

Holmes only search for bookmarks that point to web pages and ignores bookmarklets.
